Most people who need to engage in losing weight are those who eat too much and exercise too little, obviously? The first hurdle is getting a steady routine, a lot of people will try and do too much too fast and end up giving up before they’ve even begun. They key to beat this is to realize that it’s not going to happen over night and it takes time and consistency.
The next problem is of course how you go about losing weight. It seems people will either go on a quick diet or start to exercise; while this is a good thing its only tackling one half of the problem which may be O.K. for a starting point, but ultimately will not do the trick.
The problem I had was I was doing 80% exercise and about 20% diet, which worked quite well for a while and I steadily lost weight. The real key to weight loss is your diet, you still need a healthy dose of exercise, but what I actually found was its more like 80% diet and 20% exercise. This was my revelation; basically I just had it backwards and until you realize for yourself its something that can really hinder your efforts.
Finally, when you can find a balance between fitness and diet and fit it into your normal life then shedding weight and keeping it off should be easy and maybe even fun as it can be addictive. This is how I lost weight; I’m not totally where I want to be at, but close and it will happen soon. So, Wish you Luck!
